k700i help (how/where to enter GPRS settings?) |
bennyx_o Joined: Feb 08, 2005 Posts: 5 PM |
I just got a k700i and I have no gprs settings. I can't download them from my operators website because the k700i isn't listed. I have the setting written down. Where do I go to put them in the phone?
Thanks.

Ok, first go to connectivity and data comm, select new, gprs data. Create one. Put the apn here. Then go to internet profiles and create a new profile, connect using the data comm profile. Then save it, return, highlight it and use the more/edit/right action to edit the internet profile. Put in the ip address here.

Thanks. Do the MMS setting go under GPRS data or GSM data? I'm assuming it's GPRS? |

Can't you download the settings over the air from your operator. Contact them for details.

You might be able to get the settings from SE support page. Most often you could also use your operators webpage to do this by selecting a similar phone or one that could be closest to yours. |

I read that Masseur. What i'm saying is, here in India we can receive the required settings via sms by sending a keyword as an sms to them. The settings arrive in a few minutes and is saved.

fair enough but you'd think if you could do it over the air like that it would also be available online
anyway, here is the SE Ireland K700 support page where you can see phone setup for wap, e-mail and MMS. that might help if you go through those

Isn't there some website which sends you the settings of any gprs service provides directly? I found a link to that site on the SE wapsite.

I think you could do that with most of the providers using the SE support page. |

I tried getting the settings from that wapsite hoping that it won't work. But to my utter bewilderment, i received the settings in a matter of minutes! I think that site has almost every gprs settings available on the planet!
