Hi
This has got little to do with you having an S700i or not, GPRS is chargeable under your contract they are just either choosing not to or can't. There is a proxy issue with O2 GPRS that renders it unchargeable at the moment
BUT
O2 are perfectly within their rights to backcharge GPRS charges as long as they make an entry on your bill (and this only needs to be once) that GPRS is chargeable. They do this by showing you your inclusinve allowance on your bill i.e. you have 1meg free or 6 if you buy O2 Active 5. As long as they do that they are allowed to say "ooops hang on we meant to charge you for all of this over your allowance". They can do this for up to 6 years post the event.
Orange did it way back with text messages going via an international server and it caused a huge stink - I know I was one of the customers. |
