Why is it that I can now view pictures posted on Esato even if I am not logged in? Viewing used to be limited to Esato members only -- the reasoning behind it being bandwidth economy. |

I can also see 'some' pics even when I'm not logged on here. But majority of the pics still won't show-up until I log-on. I can only surmise that the pics showing up whilst not logged on are stored somewhere else and not in the esato server.

when you arent logged in you can only see the pictures that arent hosted by esato

I don't think it's so good idea.Everyone has right to see pics when can see text  or pics are more expensive  I don't understand it. It's not punishment for them even they spend less kb .

i read somewhere that it was done like that so that esatos bandwidth needed didnt go sky high.

Disagree to everyone above. Anothere user clank was also able to see ribs hosted by Esato without loging in. It was Esato pics and not hot linked ones.

To view the pics on the Esato server you need to be logged in (we all know that), to be logged in you need to be a member (we all know that as well). So, to be able to enjoy every aspect of Esato you need to be a member.
That is why.
Those pics some can see without being logged in will be on pages recently viewed. Ie; they are still in the history of your computers memory depending on the cache settings.

I also think it to be right that you can only view pictures when logged in.
If people are that interested and want to view the pictures then come register, have some input, it's free !
