When I get a message from the o2 website to my T68 it comes again and again and again, it seems they don't understand acknowledgements from the T68...has anyone else had this problem?

Its really annoying I got one message 50 odd times, phoned there customers services, told them the problem but they still didn't fix it urghhhh!!!!!

It is an O2 alert always saying its from the same time and the same messages, adding the name won't help?

Its a common fault with the o2 site although they blame the following (in no specific order )
* the t68i
* the mobile network

basically anything apart from them.

heres the existing thread..

Its being investigated at the moment...

i had a "welcome to O2" text (I was/am on genie) sent to me about 30 times in a day, but they soon stopped. Dunno if it had anything to do with my reply telling them to "fuck off" tho...

A friend of mine has a Motorola V66 on UK vodaphone, when I send her texts from Genie/O2 website she recieves them but the phone will not let her open them? She has to turn off her phone and when it powers back up the O2 texts have disapeared but all others remain?

Vivazzi and others work fine for her? Very strange. I have no problems at all with O2 PC to T68 sms, they allways come quickly and only once.

The problem is that the t68 doesnt send out a reply telling the o2 website that it has received the message, therefor the website sends it again and again and again

Basically I've found out the T68 does send and ack when it gets a message but it can take longer than for most phones, O2 must be set up not to wait long enough for a text message ack hence the repeated messages! Everyone who is getting this problem complain here http://www.oftel.gov.uk/consumer/advice/contact_us/index.htm it might make them fix it! I phoned for help and they tried to make me call a premium rate number for genie? is it me or do genie no longer exist and everything was re-branded to O2?

Genie has been integrated into o2, and most of their cool functions now have huge costs attatched to them

@Psykotik- My phone still says "BT Genie" as service provider, but do you think all the texts, calls and wap minutes that I assume are still free will actually be charged for in my next bill?

I get the same problem. I have turned all O2 alerts off but they keep sending me Big Brother spam. I had about 30 in 1 day telling me to vote. I cannot stand BB too !
