Hi,


Is there a way to share the big memory tat the K700i has for more sms messages to be saved??

cos mine always max out at ard 60 sms but the phone memory when i check is still at 30mb!!

there is a limit of a total of 100 messages you can keep in the phone and that includes sent, received, draft, etc.
resistance is futile.

there are many threads about this, and one person said you can save each message as a template, but that is the only way. there is no real other way to do it.
maybe save them to your sim?
if you dont want to save them, just want more room, i dont think its possible... sorrrrry

Saving as a template is a very viable option, i got more than 200 sms in phone that way.

but if you save as a template, u lose the details such as the person and time, etc....

If thats the problem, save only those messages as templates whose date and time aren't important.

There is a screen that comes that asks you about details/name something like that. Enter the date and time there.

Quite strange...i currently have 142 messages takin up 3.7mb(readin straight from memory status) in my k7 and it still doesnt tell me memory full and no, i dont have any messages saved as templates.

@clank - Do u have e-mails or MMS stored in the phone ? they are stored in the phone's shared memory

No emails but half would me mms i believe...does that mean i can store 100 sms and mms till my memory runs out?

yes 100 sms is fixed but mms and e-mails are not since they are stored in the phone memory (41 MB)
