I have just got a K700i the firmware is old... i know that. Ive just ordered the dss-25 so that i can upgrade.

Whats the newest firmware out? does anyone have a link to where i can see all the fixes it does?

one last question...

if i flash my phone will it get rid of all my games and stuff that ive uploaded (ive heard differing answers both yes and no)?

No you shouldn't lose anything. I recommend you use SEUS (sony ericsson update service).

i got that link from somewhere, it seems nice and easy to use. ill just wait for my desk stand to come through the post. i have about 3mb of games (28 of them )

It is pretty straight forward. I had to turn my norton's firewall off before I could successfully update my k700. just keep this in mind if you are running nortons and experience any problems.

My suggestion is always backup your phone before messing with the firmware.

Also be careful of the SE update service, its a bit unstable.

I prefer using SE Tool, it may cost a little but its stable and reliable.
Seeing that you are using the DSS-25 though, you may need to use Davinci tool instead if you choose not to update yor firmware via SE update service.

A very good point hyper ! A backup of your files is a good idea. I didn't have the facility to when i updated and didn't have any problems.

here's a link to a thread with some useful phone management software links in it. Also some games links just in case ya need them

i use FMA, it was the first thing i used. i uploaded my phone numbers from my motorola onto my comp and then used FMA to transfer them across to the K700i.
