Disaster! My wife decided to wash my jeans with my T610 phone in the pocket.
Despite now looking very sparkly, it is decidedly unwell...
No power at all, but when I plug it in to the charger, the red light in the joystick illuminates.
Is it completely dead, or maybe salvagable?
It's been like it for three days now.
Any advice would be fantastic. (divorce is optional!)
Cheers,

Andy

PS, not sure if it's in the right catagory, so feel free to move it!

Hello. You did the worst thing possible lol. Whena phone becomes "water damaged" the best thing you can do is to take it completely apart with screwdriver etc. At least take the battery out. Then leave it to try for a good half a day at least.

I would go for the divorce

Because the platform sends bogus messages while charging, that is why!!!..But why this change of heart?..We sense a charger connected, oops, we will not shut down after all!!!..*********************** UI BASIC, HOLD YOUR HORSES

my wife washed my sons T310 last year. previously she also dropped a motorola in a bucket of water. neither survived the experience unfortunately and its a rare occurrence that any electronics survives well after water contact. I had a Nokia 8210 that fell out of my shirt pocket straight into the toilet and it worked for a month afterwards but still gave up and was replaced by insurance

good luck! time to get a K700 perhaps?

Guys guys give that T610 a chance! Take it to SE and see what they can do. What if the phone could be repaired?

My T230 fell into water twice and it lived to tell the tale. No harm in trying out a repair.

I'll try that again!

Thanks for the quick responses guys, but pretty much as I expected, I think personally it's kaput.
Not sure whether its worth SE looking at it, it would probably be cheaper to buy a new one.
As for whether it was my fault? Nope, I left it in my pocket while I had a shower, but my wife was in 'spring cleaning' mode.
Mind you, she has also managed to burn the carpet before after deciding that a blob of wax on it would come off with a red hot clothes iron...
Look's like it's divorce then!

WellI might give her another chance!
As a term of endearment, she calls me 'dear'.
I call her 'extortionate'. She costs me a fortune!!!:)
