Yes, I was talking UK 180. Ok. Thanks for your wonderful advice. I think I will stick with my R520 for now. Btw, when U buy your P800 and wnt to sell your T68i, don't hesitate to contact me. I am going to a Digi center today 'cause it's nearer to my house than ericserve. If they can't fix it, then I'm going there. Also, what part of the phone is a tranceiver ? Thanks

You mean the P800. Well, basically is a PDA and Mobilephone function.
You can switch functions at any time. It's more like the T68i with larger screen and has more functions on the PDA part where you can read Excel and Word spreadsheet, download games and you can expand its memory capability using Memory Stick up to 128Mb. |

No, what I meant is What is a tranciever ? It got changed on my R520 on my last visit to ericserve because of a current consumption error ?!!??

Sorry. The tranceiver is the link between your handset with your battery. If you remove the battery from your phone, you'll see a connector with three pins and that's your tranceiver. Those phones that usually have their phones on and off themselves or battery usually run down fast, they will change this part. |

Maybe it is bcoz of the conventional size that Ericsson use to have and the long arial. Other than that, it has good features. When I purchase T39m, R520 was the same time release. Maybe T39m was more popular due to the look and size. |

Maybe you should try login on to GPRS at another location. Maybe GPRS haven't reach your service area. |

First of all Thanks for all the help. My phone now conects via GPRS. Turns out they didn't activate it but they told me they did. What a waste of time having to master reset my phone!! Once again Thanks to all those who tried to help.

I am using Maxis and everytime I call tech support, it's always female operators with sweet voices. I tried TimeCel to ask for information and most of the time I get male operators who only knows decent Manglish (la and stuff). If I do get female operators it would be Malay girls who only converse in BM. Hahah!! No wonder Maxis get a larger piece of the pie. Cheers everyone!! |

I got myself a Digi Prepaid Plus to try out GPRS, it printed "Automatic GPRS".
As with sanjeevjaya, i got those error, finally call up the customer service and found that it needs activation and i have to wait 1-2 days.
Potong stim!

I'm quite satisfied with maxis tech support except one time when I got this male dingbat who thinks he's too smart! I politely asked him to transfer me to the 'network' department but he thinks he's smart enough to answer my questions. I called back and this sweet voiced lady transfered me to the network department and I got my GPRS connection activated in less than an hour!
KUDOS maxis!!!
BUT the only thing I hate is the process that we have to go to just to speak to an operator!
Just dial 123p2p1p4p1p1p3 so you don't have to listen to that annoying computer generated preaching!

hello, i am new member from malaysia as well. i am a poor uni student who wish to experience GRPS n BlueTooth.i am using DIGI Prepaid Plus.How much is R520 n T39, where can i get it? currently, i found T39 for RM730 in my hometown(johor->batu pahat). thanks for yr help first n nice to u all here:P |
