Unlocking problem - DaVinci |

I'm trying to unlock my P900 using DaVinci but when i click unlock i'm presented with the following error:
**** UNLOCKING STARTED ****
Error opening DSS port: COM17
Execution Time - 00:00:00
Error: 0x000100
Anyone have any ideas what's wrong and how to correct it?

Yes. It also detects the DSS station being at port 17. |

I'm not too sure how happy he will be with me for adding to his workload, but pm gbrooks3; if he can't help you with an unlocking problem then no one can.

Thanks, but i've just given up using the DSS station and placed an order for a T28 service cable instead
Anything for a peaceful life.  |

Amen to that! I just did the same thing. The DSS best use is to collect dust in a corner.

You might wanna try switching the com port to COM9 or lower on your Control Panel>System>Device Manager> Communication Port settings. I had teh same problem & 'GsMen' of the DaVinci Team helped me with this problem & it worked perfectly fine after I changed the port. Do the Read CID after you change the port number. |
