I cant seem to download screensavers to my T68i. I have tried the Ericsson Wap gateway, the Orange GPRS gateway and the Mviva wap gateway but nothing works. Can anyone help me sort this out.

Also does anyone know the best place to get datacables from as I understand this is the best way to get screensavers and stuff onto your phone.

All uk wap gateways are limited to a 3kb data transfer, so you cant download from wap. Check out gsmdirect.com for data cables, i bought one from there and it works fine :-)

I notice a few people have data cables from GSMdirect. I too bought a data cable from them, and although they have the best price I could find for it, I would be very careful in buying from them. When I needed to return the data cable as I couldn't get it to work, they refused and I have been landed with something I didn't want.

They only allow you to email them and don't have a phone number available allowing them to refuse to give any refunds / exchanges etc. Unless you are certain of what you are looking for I would shop elsewhere.

if it's a faulty product, they have to offer a repair, refund or replacement by law if it's in a warranty period. if you just bought the wrong thing, then it's at their discretion unfortunately. most reputable dealers would exchange it though.
if it is the former, contact trading standards as they're a bunch of dodgy bastards giving the industry a bad mane.

GSMDirect.COM specialises in providing mobile telephone accessories. The company is owned by Metatech Limited and are based in Scotland.

As a previous customer of their's I feel obliged to provide a word of warning. Should you purchase a product which does not work then you might expect to receive inadequate technical support, compounded by appalling customer service. This is contrary to the information provided on their web site http://www.gsmdirect.com/inf/about.htm

I obtained a refund due to the intervention of the local trading standards office.

If you are a potential customer then please heed this warning. If you are a dissatisfied customer then here are some useful contacts.
