I got the upgrade 30 minutes ago.
It holds on to the old settings including the wap. 
But I lost every high score and the sound was on in the games, so the settings for the games seems to been reset. No biggie.
It seems to have to do with the GAME being overhauled. It looks way better now. |

I got the upgrade too but I was a little disappointed since, a part from being much faster and stable, and having more colours on "GAME", I have detected only one interesting feature.
When you browse through the calls you made, the symbol of the type of telephone appears next to the name of the person, so that you know if someone called you from mobile,office,home or else.
I think we will have to wait to the next version to have something really new.

My phone is much more stable with R2A...
...OK GPRS still goes upo and down when I'm on Nokia base station systems (a friend that works for Ericsson says that Nokia has compatibility problems towards other vendors equipment), but at least the phone isn't hanging in the GPRS mode (missing phonecalls , SMS etc) due to this anymore...
If you look in the General forum, there are a lot of posts regarding what has been fixed!

I you have an Ericsson service point, you can get the new software, they download automatically it over the Internet from Ercsson in Sweden! |

You have to go to an Ericsson service center.
You cannot do the upgrade yourself.

Is that IT? I have R1C so im waiting for the next one... seems like a waste of time getting the upgrade if thats all it does IMO. |

it is absolutely NOT a waste of time. it makes the phone (i would say) ALOT faster and all the little bugs that i had b4 are now gone. dont wait for the damn MMS upgrade. make your phone speed up and aproach the speed of nokia. if they keep this up i will love ericsson 4ever. |

My Dutch service point just infomed me they were no longer upgrading T68 phones to R2A because on previous attempts all phones locked and had to be sent back.
Apparently they are wating for Ericsson to provide a now version. Anyone else had this problem? |

I just got my phone back after upgrading to R2A.
WOW!!! 
Its like a new phone!! Much quicker and brighter. All my game hiscores are intact but i lost all my sms that was stored in the phone. But thats no big deal, i have them in Outlook at home  |
