Im telling ya .. my next phone will doubtless be the Nokia 6610
I held one yesterday, and im relly impressed,
the buttons is wonderful to use, so easy to press and very ergonomic to hold.
The display is so nice and the polyphonic tones are very interesting.
Im sick and tired of the problems with my t68, software AND hardware related issues .. and the lousy T68 keypad is way behind the one that is on the 6610. |

I do!
I would rather say that it is SE who is low tech! .. not in the tecnologyarea perhaps .. but the quality! .. and that is very important |

I've been using this forum since November '01 and it is GREAT I really love my Zirocan Gold T68mi and I wouldn't swap it for anything else on the market.
I will have to renew my contract in November and the P800 is a phone I may look at upgrading too. I don't think I need it or can afford it as i am a student!!!!
The next best phone i think ill consider is the 6610 much the same as the 7210 but looks a little better. Having not seen or heeld one in the flesh yet cus they ain't out. The proof is in the pudding!!!
For the time being THE T68 ROCKS and I hope I will stay wiht it after deciding in November! |

I agree with you Johan.
I am still waiting for Nokia 6610 to replace my sick t68i.
I'm sick and tired also of the problems with my t68i, software or hardware related issues and the lousy T68i keypad is very way behind Nokia technology.
And sick also with others related features like :
- call list management.
- timed activation profiles.
- personal alert of incoming new message.
- And one more important features that SE never beat Nokia is "Nokia exchange cover".

arus...
thats technology guys...if ericsson didnt start this full featured T68 you think nokia is going to produce 7210 and 6610? no ofcourse as long as there is no threat to their company....then came the Threat (T68) and scares them away.
just wait for the 7210 and 6610 problem to come, then complain again...and again...and again and buy whosever the latest to come. |

My only discomfort with the T68 is the screen, it's quite the dust-magnet and hard to read in daylight. Also I would like to have java. So I will go for the 7210. I think it looks a lot better than 6610. The 6610 looks to much like the but ugly 3210, I think.

i also once was a nokia fanatic but when i encountered problems i shifted to SE. don't worry guys, you will encounter very severe problems with nokia like i had with the past and i know that you will complain and cry about it like you do now with your t68's. everytime nokia comes out with a new phone, most are beta test versions and lots of bugs. the 2nd batch and up are almost trouble free. here in the philippines nokia repair rate is 8-10% while others (SE, samsung, siemens etc.) all are just 3%. nokia phones breaks down more often than others. read that from a major newspaper here and done by a foreign survey group. |

exactly darknezz......there's a quote saying "NO NOKIA, NO BUSINESS". and you can see lots of nokia repair shops with unexperienced technicians like mushrooms that grows everywhere. |

I'm sorry. I have to disagree with you Johan. You've only held the phone for what? A few minutes? Maybe a few hours?
Why don’t you take a visit to the Nokia forums and look at the major problems and faults with Nokia's brand new phones. There are quite a lot of problems with their superb brand new phones, and much more annoying than SE's phones.
You seem to expect a bug free phone? haha. |
