Have you tried calling Cingular/ATT customer service?

The username for both GPRS data is WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM and the address is wap.cingular. I am not sure what the password is (for some reason I think it is cingular1). The phone should be set to automatically recieve IP and DNS info. No proxy info necessary.

hope that helps for now.

no prob, by the way, the mms message server is http://mmsc.cingular.com and you don't have to create a new internet account, you can send mms using the internet account settings I gave you.

I tired the settings you gave and it still doesn't work! Is it CHT SPRS, FET GPRS or TCC GPRS? There are a ton of other settings for each type of account, let alone not knowing which one to choose to begin with...

Thanks!

Is it gonna cost me money if i am using GPRS?
I didn't have any services or features that lets me using the GPRS, i just type in the apn and username and password and it just worked, not sure if it's gonna charge me money.btw, just downloaded some themes form esato, they are pertty cool.Again, sorry for my noob question.

Cingular has pay as you go GPRS activated by default on their accounts now. It will cost you money, but depending on how much you use it, it could be cheaper than signing up for a plan. There are lots of plans that combine all sorts of data like SMS and GPRS at reasonable prices though.

hey all, i've tried all the settings in this thread, and i can't get my k700i w/ cingular to work at all. i keep getting connection failed all over the place. should i be putting the same settings in the data connections also in internet profiles? i don't understand why there are two places for me to put login/pws as well as ips and all that. any help would be appreciated, tia.

Hey Siik,

Did you ever get answers? I've just "upgraded" from AT&T to the New Cingular (dubious) and can't get anywhere, even the MEdianet home page.

I haven't seen this thread in forever. Sorry to have overlooked it until now.

I can't proclaim to be an expert with the K700 because I have never used a K series phone, only T or P series. I don't believe that any Cingular settings have changed since I last posted them. Can anyone that actually set up their K700 and got it working confirm all the settings for that phone for these other users?

If not you might be able to try to find a more advanced freature setup from the officially supported S710a that Cingular has.
