Ever wondered what happens when you combine sweet foods such as mousse and pudding with mobile phones?
"Sweets" is a Sanyo-made CDMA 1X handset whose concept revolves around sweets such as mousse and jelly. The product code will be A5510SA. The handset was designed by none other than Fumie Shibata, a product designer also known for working with Zojirushi on their "ZUTTO" designer electric rice cooker. A panel on the reverse of the phone is imprinted with a dot pattern giving it a sense of cleanliness, and the phone itself has been designed around "cute," such as speakers with a flower motif.
Included in each package is 5 sheets of stickers such as "Flower Pattern" and "Holograms" that can be placed around the display or scroll keys. Users can decorate their own handsets. Preset as an idle image is an illustration by Ado Mizumori, an illustrator. A Flash menu with the Sweets imaging is also used as a menu.
The main display is a 2.1", 240 x 320 dot, 260,000 color TFT LCD. The subdisplay is a 1" monochrome STN. It contains a 0.33MP CMOS camera, and supports QR codes. The data folder is 8MB. Character input is accomplished using APOT, a predictive text form of ATOK.
Function-wise, the handset is loaded with "teen-oriented" features targetting girls in their teens, such as a schedule, allowance record, and diary. The "Teens Mode" that limits monthly usage of talk time and mail sending can also be utilized, which has previously been known as "Junior Mode." Furthermore, the handset also supports downloading of dictionary contents from the "SANYO Keitai Planet," such as the "Fashion Brand Dictionary" and "4 character Expression Dictionary." Also available is a "Smart Mode" for users who may not have gotten used to operating a mobile phone.
Also contained is "Pastel Mail," allowing for the arrangement and sending of animated emoticons, characters, and backgrounds in mails. Other functions include "Pair Mode," allowing for positioning information to be obtained for frequently contacted parties based on phone calls, mails, and GPS. Also included is a hands-free mode. BREW appli and EZ Navi Walker is also supported.
The standby time of the handset is about 260 hours, and it offers roughly 180 minutes of continuous talk time. The size is 49 x 93 x 24mm, and it weighs 109g. Three body colors will be available: Cassis Mousse, Vanilla Beans, and Mango Pudding, all with packaging to match.

i gotta say.... (in a sarkastic voice) they do look rather TASTY!!! lol....
If they were released in the UK they would sell shed loads of the pink ones... Just like voda did with the VK207 and VK530.... Both pink variations and both sold out everytime we had stock of the at HQ.
