Hi All,
Can anyone help me out.
Problem : Synchronizing PC and Phone K700i.
I got a Bluetooth Dongle in My PC and Sony Ericsson K700i Phone.
I have installed these things...
XTNDConnect Blue Manager- This software is bluetooth Dongle
Sony Ericsson PC Suite Complete - This complete software is Installed.
I am able to connect the phone to Bluetooth but not able to synchronize all my Data.
Even I am not able to use the Remote operations as mentioned in the phone manual.
Can any one help me out on this. |

Solution: use third party software like floats mobile agent from http://fma.sourceforge.net or k700i dateimanger from www.hitziger.net

To synchronize i also suggest you use fma as stated above since neither se pc quite nor blue manager allows you to do that. For remote control to the best of my knowledge you need to have sp2 installed with windows xp...done this you can go in bluetooth properties option and enable hid support. |

It's not enough to have the phone paired and connected. You need to manually open the BT serial port and make sure it stays open before attempting to sync.

hi
I am trying to snychronization with my PC, as I am using SE PC Suite.
even I have downloaded both softwares and the problem is same the BT software give message
" some other application trying to use the Com Ports "
ex- Com3 etc...
Can any one help me out
Shall I have to uninstall the BT then connect with the other Softwares.
Or can I get the driver of Bluetooth as when I uninstalls BT, the driver also gets disabled.
I am using Windows 2000 Advance Server.

I have had some issues too. Now it works. This is how I did it:
- install the newer versions from the SE site, the version on the CD didn't work
- I have XP SP2; Bluetooth is supported. I wouldn't install any other drivers then.
- You have to pair the devices only once, and then leave all Windows settings as they are. Never go back.
- Install the SE software, all you can find.
- Keep BT on on the phone and ask the SE software to do something, like synchronise or open the 'my phone' sectioon in your explorer
- should connect
- If yopu use two programs at the smae time you'll have trouble, only one connection at a time, so no FMA and synch at the same time
- In the windows section you can browse through the the tabs to set options
- do not use windows itself to connect, let the programs do it
I must say I had to do a lot of trial and error before it worked, and even more to get the outlook-sync work as it should. |

- your problem might be with the bluetooth software that came from the dongle, try to install only what is needed if you can;
- if Windows says there is another program trying to access, that might just as well be, maybe some package included in dongle software
- with pc suite all you can do is sync your pim with outlook and browse phone contents through the explorer, you can't synchronise all data from the phone
- fma is great, but even version 2.1 (beta) does noet let you sync k700 with outlook except for contacts, you'll need SE software for that; also I find the send-file wizard in Windows (fsquirt.exe) to be very handy and fast; so not one program does it all for now
I hope you'll manage to connect the devices. It is hard to giva advice when not seeing what you are doing; your best bet might be looking for a live person that can help you...
