I followed the headlines of this story in the press like everyone else, but I didn't realize until reading this article from JoongAng Daily, that the picture of Prince Harry wearing a swastika armband was taken by one of the guests at the costume party (the theme was "colonial and native") with a camera phone.
"The photo was instantly spread around the world via Internet. Even before the tabloid printed the photo, the Israeli government protested, and the royal family apologized.
As camera phones meet the Internet, we are living in the age of IT voyeurism. Anyone can become a paparazzo, and everyone can dominate the media".

Yeah, I noticed that the quality of the pic was pretty appalling and thought as much.
His "mates" really sold him out this time!
