Hi. I've just got a new number and keep forgetting what it is.
Rather than keeping it on my phone, isn't there a seq. of buttons
you press for your phone number, like *123# ?
Also, are there other *123# codes that give you info on the phone?
Cheers

Which phone? In k series, go to phone book, options, special numbers, my numbers and enter your number. Then the number will be showed when you press the side up/down for status.

if youve got a k700 you just press the volume buttons on the side in the main screen and all your phone info comes up including the area youre in, youre number, youre current profile, amount of memory left on the phone etc etc

@lembo - for your phone number to appear, follow what govi posted and for your area info to appear, you have to turn on 'cell information' or 'reception' (not sure which one ). Its available in 'area info' option in 'settings' under the messaging menu

Thats a cool little trick, I now use it. If only my T68i would do the same, then I'd be set!

Call a mate's phone, and see what number comes up on it, then save it on your own phone either with your own name, or 'myself'. I do this, as even after having the same number for over a year I still can't remember my number!
