Reliablity T68.......*sucks* |

I am on my second T68 since january and my 3rd will be delivered tomorrow! I get the replacements free of charge from Orange care, re-furbs but look like new. My point is this. These are supposed to be a premium product! I had my first t68 only 2 months before it f***ed up, it showed full signal yet couldn't make or recieve calls, with the phone apparently looking like it was working. So I never know when it is working, until I try to make a call or somebody tells me my phone is switched off, when it wasn't!
So I got my replacement about march, 2 months later same again ! Grrrrrrrr, WTF? Rang orange tonight, new phone coming tomorrow.
Really don't think I should be having this trouble with a phone that is supposed to be a top of the range item! If it happens again I think I get the chance to change models free of charge and I am afraid I will probably go for a samsung T100, or nokia 7210.
I really loved my T68, but the quality of this phone is really suspect |

Are you sure it's your phone and not the SIM card? Looks like it might be the latter...

i have my 4h T68.
yes it's premium product. which means if it does get sh*tty, they'll (the SE retailer/service point) replace it with a new one. |

Surely the quality and reliability should be better than this piece of crap though? I hate to say it but I can't see things getting any better with the Sony alliance of mass production?
One thing I will say is that my T28 from a few years back was built a million times better than the T68!
When you think about it the whole build quality of The T68 is pretty poor, apart from the screen.
You can see light escaping all round the housing, it breaks down all the time, it creaks when you grip it tight and the earpiece crackles when you turn up the volume.
I really did love this phone but now I can't wait for my upgrade in 6 months, and I fear it won't be a Sony Ericsson product |

I am getting my replacement phones from Orange UK, through orange care. Is it worth me ringing Ericsson UK? Do you think they would be more likely to fix my phone or send me a brand new one as the ones orange care send out are apparently re worked ones with new housings? |

How long do you think Ericsson UK would take with my phone? as the good thing about Orange care is they send a courier to drop off the new one and take away my old one. |

Damn that sucks having to send your phone back 3 times
Ive sent mine back once due to a faulty power (no) button, since ive had it back and T68i software on it - Working beautifully, i really love this phone, can't see myself getting anything new for 2 years or so.
Long Live the T68 !!!

beetle....looks like ur abusing your phone? the light that escape is natural because that is really bright. it happens with some phones too!
and...sometimes thats the problem with a "providers phone".. they're not giving brand new replacements rather......repaired....maybe??

Yea i think its definately something to do with your provider, probably giving you f**ked phones, check the joystick movements when you get it back!
Sony Ericsson rule, Nokia just plainly suck ! |

just looks like you've had bad luck with them.
i've never had any problems with any phone i've owned!. I suppose my time will come when i will have a bit of bad luck. But UNtil then i'm happy!
but yeah, have yo ever thought it was the way you treat the phones? It would pay a crucial part in them failling if you didnt treat them with respect!
