http://windupradio.com/sidewinder/

The Sidewinder is the world’s smallest, lightest, and most powerful portable cell phone charger. It fits easily in the palm of your hand (or in your pocket, briefcase, glove box, or purse). It also contains a bright LED light that continues to shine after charging.

With only 2 minutes of charging the SideWinder provides over 6 minutes of talk time and even more standby time. Keep charging and talk indefinitely. You can charge

i guess this is for older models mainly... but i thought it was pretty cool, and felt like sharing!

(ill leave the posting of cool new things to axxxr its not my specialty! lol)

We gave away a wind up charger on playtime a few months ago because I bought it and never used it

I have seen this one (or one very similar) in the British Airways on board catalogue for quite a while. it costs £10

You said it: for the old models. If not so I was to say: come on my new t610. Get charged up.

i cant seem to make it work for newer nokias.. but it works like a charm with most SE phones i tried it on.. it lives up to what it said.. roughly 2 minutes of winding = 6 minutes of talk time. it has a small LED that serves as a flashligh when you wind the thing up if youre not charging any phone... its bright enough...

@pradhika:

@eastcoaststar: Doesn't seem like i would find myself purchasing this charger. I'm kinda lazy, too much winding would tire me out. I would rather sit near a power outlet, with my regular charger.

I think buying this charger is like buying an insurance policy. You'll never really know when it will become useful but you'll be glad it's there when that time comes.
resistance is futile.

I have got one and it was very useful when i got off the plane in the US and my batt was dead. But ive never used it again. I think its too big to be one of those things that you keep on you JUST IN CASE. But that will teach me, my arm hurt after a while winding that thing. Ive only used with an SE and it worked great for me too.

Well lets wait and see what they come up with next.

It wqont work if you do it too fast though... dremmer would be good, but why not just use the same plug to charge your phone.
