I wonder if anyone can help - I've had a couple of problems with my phone recently. Firstly the vibrating alert has stopped working. I've made sure it's switched on, but I get nothing. Can't remember if this is since I had the MMS upgrade or more recently.

The second thing - and what's really weird is that I only get this when I call 2 particular people, both on BT land lines. Occasionally when I ring them, the sound through the earphone is really distorted - a bit like a radio that's slightly out of tune. I have to call them back a few times and then suddenly it's OK. It's started doing this once in the middle of a call, but other than that it's always as soon as the phone starts ringing their end. This happens in a good reception area with 3 or 4 bars on the display.

Help!!!

Woah thats weird mate!!! I have never had that before !!!
As for the vibrating alert, have you dropped it at all? A hard knock could dissconnect the motor inside, this happened on one of my old mobiles, try lightly sqeezing the phone in different places when it is suppost to be vibrating; if it vibrates when u do this - contact is buggered! I would contact whoeva you bout it off!!! and go OI! YOU! GIMMIE REPLACEMENT !!!!
Sony Ericsson rule, Nokia just plainly suck !

I wonder if that's at all related to a problem that I'm have on my T68 (with R2A013 software).

I dial to my ISP on 08453530000 (www.messages.co.uk), on my PC running WinXP Pro connected via Infrared using a JetEye Irda serial adapter.

It takes about 5-6 attempts to connect (at 9600bps). The phone dials the number, but then just hangs up and goes back to the main screen without any warning or message. However the weird thing is the disconnection only ever occurs in the 'username/password' stage (20 - 23 seconds into the connection, ie, handshaking has already been successful). If the connection passes 25 seconds on the call timer on the phone, then I know it's going to connect fine. Once connected it will stay on for hours.

I haven't yet tried a different ISP, nor a different dialup number for my current ISP - but thats next on the list of things to try. Incedentally, the connection works first time with my Nokia 8210 - so it's likely to be a driver or phone issue (the network is Orange in both cases)

I haven't noticed any bad call quality, but on the other hand, I dont call that many people. All other things with the phone are fine.

Weird huh?

Try squezing the frontcover below the 0 key, that's where the vibrator is located.
