hello
i have a problem,i phone to ericsson to know how upgrade my t68 and the guy said me i've just to download some software and put there myself in my phone with any ways i want (data cable,IR or bluetooth).but for be sure i phone to a service point who tell me that the only way to upgrade was to go there with t68 and give them to do this upgrade.
-who is right between both ?
-so is it really usefull to buy a product to make communicate my pc with my phone if i can't make upgrade at home!!

to have a software upgrade, you have to definitely go to an ericsson service point near your place cause upgrading of the software can't be done thru the web or to simply put it; by yourself.

however if you only wnat to synchronize your phone with your pc then you have to only download the needed software at sonyericssonmobile website. or xtndconect for pc.

hope this helps

what does the service point have that you dont?

shouldnt it be enough with a data-cable,the right firmware and a program to send it over to the phone?

WEll, if everyone tried modifying the phone software, who would provide tech support if things go wrong?

You can do the upgarde YourSelf.
But to have the soft and the nex firmware, you need to d/l it from a secured server at Erricson.

So, if your service point is agree, just ask him the soft and firmware on a CD. And do it yourself with a datacable.
