Whats better to get i have borrowed a hp onibook laptop it does not appear to have an Ir port so if thats the case (i know very little about computers) would it be best to get a cable or an ir adapter or even a bluetooth adapter,also whats best to use when transfering pics taken with my mca-20.

Most convenient is the use of bluetooth, no wires and you can freely move around the laptop. A pc-card BT adapter is about £100-150 here in Sweden.
The cable, is good for a secure connection. Costs about £20.
IR, is often included in the laptop, and therefor the cheapest solution. But it's not that convenient, it must have "eye contact" to the port, or it will switch off. I don't know the cost of an adapter, but I'd say, go for BT or cable, if your pc hasn't got built in IR. |

Most convenient and expensive: BT (once you get it working)
Most versatile: Cable (you can do everything)
Cheapest wireless: IR (USB IR adapter ~US$30 and up) but not very usefull if you are in a car or on a train. |

From what i can remember (im at working nights at the moment) it looks like there is a connection point with an IR symbol on the back of the lap top

the IR port would be some thing like the 1 on our T68 .. a black cover .. for toshiba i think it should be at the side ..

another way is to on ur ir on ur t68 and move it ard the laptop and it might just read it when you scan pass it , but this is really lame .. ehhee

i was wondering if its just a cap on top of an ir port i think the laptop is an HP if that makes any difference
