you haven't said what kind of phone you have,or what type of dongle you are using. and if you are trying to connect using the windows software forget it..... windows software do not have the services that all phones require download software from www.widcomm.com for better results version 1.4.1.6

right click on the bluetooth icon on the task bar / quick connect/file transfer/ if your phone does not appear select other devices (put your phone in bluetooth discovery mode) when your phone is located by the computer follow the directions from there.

hi i have a K700i and love it!
however i do have a problem i recently brought a new pc, so i went from win98SE to winxp sp2. my bluetooth worked fine on 98 but now in xp i cant seem to use the software i got with my bluetooth adaptor, winxp's rubbish software just overrides the software from belkin. can anyone tell me how to deactivate xp's software?

At times, I am having some problemos connecting/transferring images from my fone to my PC using a . . . - bluetooth dongle I am using a Nokia 7650, 600 and 6630 branded fone, though haven't applied it with an model. From my PC to my fone - no problemo, only the other way around !

(oops for above)
Jfwindsor>> the belkin bluetooth usb dongle works on xp sp2 (i had one and got it to work smashing without additional software/downloads or removing the bt.inf files). install the device as indicated on the packet (including software disc) then... (not mentioned) then open the harware wizard and select the advanced option, and browse for the belkin driver.(for the only bluetooth radio inder bluetooth devices)
i got the belkin bt usb working quickly, compared to the new dongle i got from bona/linden computech usb bt1(which has !a generic radio and an emumerator??!), which i cant get working at all (even through trying the many methods mentioned in other posts).
if anyone know how to get these annoying (but cheep) dongles going can they PM me please. |

JN>>> your haveing the same probs as me with my new dongle,
When you see your bluetooth software working as it should you'll be well impressed, but due to this unsigned driver issue the bt radio works to send pics etc, from computer to phone, but not vice versa since the pairing software is not for the bt diver.
If you do a search you'll find specific ways to fix this (although i have tried these and none work for me).....good luck |

@xorh - Thanks mate! Yup, I guess there's a sure way to go around the configuration . . . my Dad told me that it worked with his Nokia 6230 before, though I installed the software again, maybe there is just something I miss back there . . . I think and hope that your problem will be solved too mate . . . !
