the newest firmware is: R2E006

i got it since 4 weeks and it's faster than R2B025. Screensavers are also a lil bit faster. But there is really no big difference from R2B025!! if u want a faster T68i then gotta have to flash it right away!! I'm not telling that it's better cuz there are also some minuses!!

check it out!!

Hi,

I've only had my T68i for about a week or so, and have just realised I'm not using the latest firmware. Two questions, when I get it upgraded at a service centre, 1> Is there any charge and 2> Will I lose any settings I currently have?

Regards,

Lee

You could use phone backup from christersson (thanks man, excellent!) but unfortunately, it doesn't save pics and ringtones so you'll have to store them individually. Real hassle.

Hi guys,

Got the firmware upgraded on my T68i today. If anyone else needs to get this done in the North of England, I went to :

Convergent Communications
Blenheim House
Pocklington
York
YO42 1NS
Tel : 01759322623

Excellent service, they had my phone for about 40 minutes in total. The other official northern service centre (Fone Logitistics in Cramlington), didn't even have the R2E006 revision, they only had R2B025. Anyway, I haven't really noticed any difference (not that I expected to really). Prior to the upgrade, I had no problems on my phone at all, no SMS problems, no lockups etc. but I'm sure behind the scenes this upgrade has made some improvements.

I had my T68m with R1B flashed a few days ago. Now I have R2E006 which is much much much much faster than R1B. I also like the fact that I didn't lose any information such as call and sms counters.

Orang3, there is no reason why they should do a master reset. If they insist they do, go to a different service centre
