If you are talking about connecting it to your computer to dial up to the internet, yes you can. You will need a compitable cable or bluetooth/Infrared adaptor (not sure if your phone has them though?) then you will need to set up the internet connection both on your phone and computer.

Because the platform sends bogus messages while charging, that is why!!!..But why this change of heart?..We sense a charger connected, oops, we will not shut down after all!!!..*********************** UI BASIC, HOLD YOUR HORSES

THANK YOU . I NOTICE YOU MENTIONED DIAL UP AND NOT GPRS. IS THERE A DIFFERENCE ? MY NETWORK DOES NOT SUPPORT CSD , ONLY GPRS . WHATS THE NAME OF THE CABLE / WIRE TO BE USED ?

I used the T230 for some months. I always research my phones before buying them and can tell you for sure that you cant use T230 as a modem whether via CSD or GPRS. Try T300/T310 in that class. Sorry.

@vybz

does your phone support GPRS?

If so you can use your phone as a modem i believe. You connect your phone to computer set up ip properties and then dial the GPRS number.

the number to dial is *99***X# where X corresponds to the CID of the data account applicable (internet access) and that will depend on your operator.

I see no reason why this wont work.

There are 3 t230 users who say you cant use it. I think that is more than enough.
