try using the IP address instead - go to a dos window and type 'ping _space_ then the servername' and hit return.

IP address will look like 123.321.123.321

@Delta

I have Hotpop on mine and I have yet to see it work. What format did you use for the IP addresses?

Thanks,

All I do is dial up to my local ISP.
I didn't use the IP, I just used pop.sexmagnet.com

Works just fine.
I cannot send though.

By the way, you have to have wireless internet enabled on your Cingular Account, or else this won't work.

That's funny?

I've been sending Email messages just fine now through SMTP recently.
Whatever I did works great, any news on this?

Although, at times it won't dial in for some reason, just says failed, but then it goes through without any problems and the Email is sent (Even tested it on myself, recieved my sent message from my phone just fine).

if you gonna use your own ISP, it does work on t68s. i've been using gateway.net's IP and # b4. some people are using earthlinK. aLso, it's not that accurate specially when sending things to yourself. even MMS works if it's sent to you . just get the MMS settings and u can try it out.

MSN is accessible even though you're not using the ericsson gateway. there's alot of software freebies on cingular's mywirelesswindow. here are some:

AIM
hotmaiL
aoL
my aoL
yahoo
msn
excite
upoc etc.

it's all free, just log on to your www.mywirelesswindow.com, edit your info and you'll be able to use it when ur using the internet through your phone under 'bookmarks'.

I always have a problem accessing Hotmail through the WAP browser. Any ideas on what could be the problem?

I read somewhere that the MSN website is not compatible with WAP/WML.

Any thoughts?

What is the SMTP server name or IP address you are using?

I am able to receive the inbox messages from hotpop, but cannot send mails through it.
