Hi all,

I am curious as to how long does it take you guys to send a file from your PC to your T68?

I had an animated gif (238kb) which took me over 10min to transfer from my PC to T68 through cable.

For smaller files (4-12kb) it took only a few seconds.

Anyone has sent big files before? How long did it take you? Did the transmission break during mid way sometimes?

wow, 238k for a gif sure takes up a lot of memory on your phone! I use ir and transfer files at a max of 96000 bytes /sec. But that's the max. Normally it takes me around 5-10 secs to transfer a 26k file.

The T68 only supports 50 frames for animation, so i don't think your massive file will be played completely

I think the biggest screensaver I've transferred,..were my own creation of Angelina Jolie,..its about 75kb.
Doesnt take that long to transfer,..using IR at 19200.

Over 200kb is a lot

And yes, one has to think about the frames too in the animation.

Hi guys,

it worked! Had an animated gif converted from an avi file of my wife kissing my little daughter. Took up about 55 frames (above 90 frames at first but removed the repeated frames in Macromedia Fireworks and reassembled the clip into 55 frames)

The clip is jerky, but nontheless impressive! Draw lots of eyes when showing off in church the other day...

Tranferring it over cable from my PC to phone is tough. Had a few broken transmission halfway. Persistence paid after a few tries and a good few 10 minutes...
