Hey,what do you think.Does the Nokia 6230 rightfully deserves the title as '2004's Phone of the Year'?was it really the best-seller of 2004?

My opinion is....NO, it was neither the best, nor the best selling phone, at least here in spain!!
Best = p900/910 0r k700 or Sendo X depending on personal opinions.
Best selling = t230, nokia 3200 or 3100, nokia 6600

Its a result based on sales, for me phone of the year would be s700 or moto v3 razr, based on perormance.

Boardering on 2005...I would say Motorola V3 and the D500. Cos i know they will be missed out in 2005 when the latest phones come out.
I dont think the P910 can be justified as it is so similar to the P900 IMHO

Nokia 6230 is a fantastic phone, yes it is a Nokia, but they have done something right with this model!!
Great features and all wrapped up in an attractive design!
Also the S700i is an amazing phone, with a superb cam, I only used it for a short while and then decided to sell it.
But while I was using it, I thoroughly enjoyed taking pictures with it, the screen is so bright and sharp, and that cam just takes your breath away!
Nokia 6230 wins on features, but the S700i definaltly wins on design!

Sony Ericsson all the way...
P900 is the best PDA/Phone combination i've ever used. Nothing has come close in both looks and features in my opinion...

Your right mate, and the P910i is even better, but for a small everyday phone, the 6230 is a treat!
If you really need a phone/PDA then the P900/P910i would be the wise choice, other wise the Nokia 6230 is simply brilliant!
Although if the the K700i simply had a memory card slot then that would be perfect (better then the 6230 probably), it does have 40MB of memory built in but thats not enough for MP3 capabilities.

IMHO: the Nokia 6xxx series are not on the cutting edge of fashion, technology or innovation.
A mobile phone has become an extension of one's personality, it should make a subtle statement about who you are...
I think the V800 should get fone of the year, but then again i am biased

Heck! A series 40 phone (i think) as a best seller. No way. Else to it will get disqualified for cheap plastic and poor screen.

"Best Phone of year 2004 ?" definitely not the 6230. Maybe the k700 but the best selling probably was the 6600 in nokia and t610 in SE but i dont think they were made in 2004
