When it recieves a call, the ringtones dont play. It still plays message alerts, and the keypad beeps when you press a button etc, but the ringtones will not play. Even when trying to play the ringtones from the folder, all that happens is that the phone vibrates, no ringtone! Its getting frustrating, any ideas?

It sounds like the polyphonic ringer unit's gone on it I'm afraid! 
It could also possibly be a software problem of some sort, I had a 3310 that had exactly the same problem, tried different ringer units to no avail.
I believe this ringer unit is actually part of the motherboard, and not a separate unit like on older Nokias like the 3310. The phone's speaker where you hear the other person makes the 'beep' noises so it will still make those, but your ringtones etc. would come from the ringer unit.
You could try taking it apart and giving everything a good clean, get rid of any dust, etc., make sure contacts are clean, use some isopropyl alcohol (medical pre-injection swabs), or dare I say it.... methylated spirit?
