Because your sending it abroad your depending on other networks to get your MMS there. If something has gone bad along the way your message will fail - basically if you can send to the UK you're alright, Orange won't promise you can send abroad, because they can't control the other networks it has to skip across.

it also depends a lot of the providers. i can't send MMS to any of my neighbouring countries. and they all have MMS.
what we could is email every provider over the world to allow this. and when i say email i mean everybody.
good idea or not?

I can successfully send an mms to any operator in my country using my email account in mymail.ro. But haven't tried that internationally.

Sending MMS's to other countries require an Operator's alliance with the recieving party's operator. eg. Sending MMS to Orange in the UK, or Hutchinson '3' in Au, via airtel, orange and hutch in India works, But sending to Sprint or Cingular, the MMS returns saying 'Bad Recipient or something. Also, if you're sending to any country, and your operator has an alliance with one of the many operators in that country, but that one operator has an alliance with all the rest, your MMS will still reach.
