S700i together with Logitech DiNovo bluetooth-hub |

Hi everyone,
Looked all over this place for a similar thread, but couldn't find any info at all.
I'm using my Logitech DiNovo bluetooth-hub to connect my phone to the computer. Or at least - I'm TRYING to use it.
The software used is Logitech SetPoint (the official software for the DiNovo-set) and the version is 2.22 build 124. The release notes says the following: "New WIDCOMM Bluetooth software BTW 3.0.1.913 in this web release."
If I turn on bluetooth on my S700i and then ask the computer to search for bluetooth devices, it finds my phone and lists supported services (sync, file transfer and so on).
I can use sync and all that stuff but I'd like to use Floats Mobile Agent to get more options. AND - since I have more posts in my calendar in Outlook than the phone supports, OBEX IrMC PIM-syncronization fails if I use it under the bluetooth icon on the desktop.
I have followed the guidelines in Mike's bluetooth guide (http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=73449&r=a) but I only get to the step where I should press "connect" in FMA - and then my computer gets a blue screen.
Could this have something to do with my use of the newest bluetooth software from Logitech? Have someone managed to get his/her S700i running together with DiNovo and FMA?
Thanks in advance / Matthew

Hm,
Tried to downgrade Logitech SetPoint to a prior version (that previous version is running the Widcomm-drivers mentioned in the tutorial I mentioned above). Still no good. Could there be something else? Maybe the phone needs to get a firmware upgrade?
Thanks again / Matthew |

i DID manage to get my S700 connected to my wife's computer with the same BlueTooth hub. I built her that computer, and I did install the Bluetooth stuff from the Logitech website, and i didnt bother to use the version that came on the CD.
Also i do have service pack 2....
But here is step by step, which should work.
a) do NOT have FMA running yet....
1. download new setpoint drivers, complete with Widcomm drivers.
2. uninstall exisiting Logitech stuff, install new stuff (do NOT use Microsoft Bluetooth included with Service Pack 2)
3. do all the set up for the keyboard, and allow the appropriate set up to continue..
4. press the connect button on the hub, and then go to the phone and pair it with the hub.
5. once the phone is paired, find it in the "devices in range" section of My Bluetooth Neighbourhood.
6. double click the phone, and find the bluetooth service "Serial Port 1". Right click that, and then select make shortcut.
7. Remember the COM port set up (usually COM5 or COM6) then go to My Bluetooth places, and double click on the newly created shortcut. This will start a serial port connection to the phone.
8. Run FMA, and go to tools options, choose serial port (NOT bluetooth) and select the serial port you have created (5 or 6)
9. Now try connecting, it should work.
In the future, you shoudl not need to have to go to Bluetooth neighbourhood and connect first, it shodul automatically connect when you try to connect with FMA |

I have a logitech MX900 bluetooth mouse and hub. When I attempt to install it, I am told there is a microsoft bluetooth present and it wont load. I've checked many forums and followed all ideas with no success to remove the microsoft stack. In device manager there is no sign of anything relating to bluetooth. I have installed ms service pack 2 which I understand includes the bluetooth stuff. I just want it out. Any help out there?
