Now you can entertain or surprise your callers while they wait for u to pick up their calls. Certain telco are providing this personalised service to their users. What it does is replacing the standrd 'toot toot' tone with hundreds of cool music, songs, sound effect or even voice clips when someone calls you. Cool..... idea! Works in identical way as your incoming ring tones. The problem is.....some callers would HANG UP thinking that you have sent their calls to your voice mail box. |

yeah, O2 in UK have been providing that service for a year or so now. Its quite disconcerting the first time you hear it and you wonder whats going on

We too have it here. it is called "hello tunes." the punch goes like this, "instead of the boring tring tring the callers will hear a song of your choice." only drawback is the ivrs cost rupees7 a minute and selection costs 15 and a rental of 30per month. :-(

That service has been here for about a year now and it costs PHP 30.00 (about $ 0.54) per month. Some callers who are unfamiliar with the service are indeed surprised / confused when they hear music being played that some even reported to hear radio stations overlapping with their phone.
resistance is futile. |

In my country, Indonesia, this kind of service called Ring Back Tone (Telkomsel) or i-Ring (Indosat). The songs are true audio songs complete with the singer voice and the music like you listen on any audio device.
Cheers.....

In my country, it costs me RM3 per download of music/song and RM3 per month for the service. And the service can be terminated anytime u wish.
I have a caller who rang me up and hung up the phone. Instead I have to call him back to tell him about the service. His response was "Fxxx, the service is crap and u have a terrible tone(my ring tone was life for rent from dido). Pls. cancel the service". |
