quick q about wap/gprs |

ok.. is wap and gprs the same?? do i need to tell my service provider to activate my wap and gprs or just wap alone would be fine to broswe thru wap site? |

WAP is not GPRS. GPRS is one of the platforms a WAP service can run on. Other platforms include: CSD, HSCSD, EDGE, UMTS. To use WAP via GPRS, ask your operator to et you up & send you the "GPRS WAP account" settings. Cheers.

yea.. i called CS today.. and toldthem to activate wap... and it still dosnt' work.. it justsays "connecting" .. nothing else happens |

@Yeppi: Have you put in your operator WAP settings on your phone? Even if yes, there are times some adjusments are necessary.

The Sony Ericsson website has a support area where you can download wap and GPRS settings directly to your handset. Just enter the model number of your mobile and select your handset from the list provided. You can then choose, which settings you want to download.

Which phone you have? Are you sure it has gprs? If not call and get the dial up wap settings.
