Just unlocked my SE S700i from Vodafone to O2. I can send SMS without a problem, however I am unable receive any.

Does anyone out there have the settings for a S700i on O2 (payandgo)?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

hi, welcome to esato.

sounds like it might be a network problem, i would get straight on to o2 and shout at them.

Because the platform sends bogus messages while charging, that is why!!!..But why this change of heart?..We sense a charger connected, oops, we will not shut down after all!!!..*********************** UI BASIC, HOLD YOUR HORSES

O2 Settings available here. As they are sent via SMS direct from the O2 that should also help test your SMS receiving ability!

Just choose another SE phone such as T610 if yours isn't listed.

Im on O2 contract and have exactly the same problem. After speaking to people both at O2 and SE, the outcome was that the S700i is somehow incompatible with the network, much like a similar problem some people experience with their K700's. Apparently its like the network cant properly 'see' the phone.
Basically, if your texts get stuck u have to do a forced network registration and if that don't work the ring O2 and they sort it(generally). There seems to be no permenant fix though, basically most of the time it works but sometimes it just totaly screws up:-S
I found when I asked O2 for any ideas on a permenant fix they just told me I should try to excange for a Nokia (peh!)
