Was playing around with this feature and realised that even if you type in the WRONG password it still allows you to EDIT the existing content in the codememo and it actually saves! So the next time you enter it with the CORRECT password you wont see your ORIGINAL codememo content BUT the edited version that ANYONE can do.

How secure is the codememo? Would it be possible to extract the codes if someone steals your phone? All seems a bit of a useless gimmick. |

@J3, you're correct. As you say, even the wrong code entry can edit the existing codes. Really useful stuff, but on the flipside, there is no confirmation that the access code typed is correct or not to start with, so i guess any stored code would remain secure, if not altered. I'm struggling to find a use for this codememo feature! Does anyone use it? |

I don't trust it at all. Aren't there some Java applications that can actually encrypt stuff for real? |

The codememo function is to hide codes from other persons, it doesnt matter what code do you put, if you dont enter the right one u wont see the real password. Maybe could do something better to prevent changing information but this is a cellphone, is not designed to be a high security device is just to store not important information as email passwords or your computer password. If you need to protect information buy some of kind encryption software. Is like a toy feature.
