The two J2ME apps which appear to be best suited for the K700i (I installed and ran them) -- IMic and X-Messenger -- do not support Yahoo Messenger, but only MSN. (And also ICQ for IMic.)

The problem is, none of my friends use MSN or ICQ for chatting. Like them, I prefer Yahoo.

I used cMessenger regularly on the Nokia 7250i; but some of its functions are lost when run on the K700i. For example, the message archive is missing on the latter.

TipicMe (regardless of version) is not compatible with K700i. It runs once then crashes. (My unit's FW is R2L001)

There is no My Friends on my K700i, so Yamigo is not an option either. (If there is a way to put My Friends into my unit, please let me know!)

Although I love my K700i, I am tempted to trade it in for a Nokia series 60 so that I could use Agile Messenger, which supports YM....

Is there any suitable K7 app for YM?

@govi - Really, a j2me version at last? Is it a freeware? Haven't visited Yamigo in a long while, since my K700i doesn't have My Friends.

@govi -- Can't find a downloadable client from Yamigo that is specifically designed for their server.

This is what I found. Is this what you read too?:

"Also you may try to obtain an installable client (a Symbian or J2ME application). Once you have it installed on your phone point the client to the following server address. http://www.yamigo.com/wv/control"

They're saying that you can install a Symbian app/J2ME midlet and point it to their server. I've tried to do this with various Jabber J2ME apps w/ configurable server name, but it didn't work.
