Hi,

I have recently obtained an HBH-600 Headset for use with my K700i and am having a few "setup" problems:

1. How do i get the phone/headset to automatically answer calls - I have the Port. Handsfree profile setup to automatically answer calls, yet whenever I am using the headset with the phone, it will not automatically answer calls. How do i fix this?

2. How do I get voice dialling to work? I have followed the instructions for recording voice dialling tags, using the headset to record the tag, yet when I come to use the tag, it doesn't work, and the phone tells me it has not recognised what I have spoken. Anyone got any tips on getting voicedialling to work successfully?

Many Thanks

Jon

Welcome to Esato!

I don't use auto-answer, but let me see if I can help...

Do you have the three-box icon at the top of your standby screen when your headset is connected? Likewise, does your icon stay in the headset mode after you end a call? Answering these questions might help us figure out why you're having trouble...

Hi

If by 3 box icon you mean the one that reminds you that you have a different profile other than normal selected, then yes that icon does stay on screen when the headset is connected. My headset icon stays in headset mode, after I end a call

Hope this helps

It doesn't work for me either. I know that doesn't help much, but I can only speculate that it is designed only to work with a wired headset or car handsfree, and not either the phone on its own or a wireless headset? My wired headset is at home, so I can't test the hypothesis I'm afraid...

On increasing your hit rate, make sure you use multisyllabic commands and that none of them sound too similar to any other. I find two-syllable voice commands work much better than one-syllable ones...
