A while ago I found what seemed like an excellent step by step guide to getting XP to recognise my phone.
I have always had problems not being able to connect to my PC. Can anyone either point me to the article or walk me thru the correct procedure. I need to understand how to ensure I am using the correct USB port: I have an external DVD rewriter one one of two fast ports on my Belkin twin combo cards connected to my notebook. The other is my phone. Of the two main notebook ports, I have a Bluetooth USB device connected to one (not doing much) and my PocketPC is connected to the other for syncing.
The phone connection says USB Com10 is connecting (NOT saying connected as I would expect ), BlueTooth Com500 not connected, Infrared not connected.
Anyone please please please help me to get my notebook to recognize my phone.
