I just saw a deal for £2.99 per month line rental for 12 months on the 3 network - plus you're given 500 cross network minutes (off peak) and 100 texts free. That's a pretty good deal! (this is in the UK)
My rant is because I still want to use my p900 - as far as I understand 3's sims can't be used in the p900...
There's that feeling of wanting everything now! The use of my beloved p900, but with such a cheap line rental deal too...
Nor is it feasible for me to have both at the same time, kinda defeats the purpose of why I wanted the p900 as a convergent device...
Ahh! Had to get that off my chest...still not satisfied though, there must be a solution to this somewhere....

If you can think of any way I can make use of this deal, and yet retain the use of my p900, I'm all ears

why wont the P900 work on the 3 network? from i have heard, 3 use o2's 2g network when not making video or data calls???
can anyone actually confirm that 3 sim cards dont work in normal 2g phones.
Because the platform sends bogus messages while charging, that is why!!!..But why this change of heart?..We sense a charger connected, oops, we will not shut down after all!!!..*********************** UI BASIC, HOLD YOUR HORSES

I vaguely remember threads in the past (almost a year ago??) that said that 3 sims don't work in regular GSM phones - I assumed this applied to the P900 too...
Edit: I just picked up a mate's 3 sim card and stuck it into my P900 - nope, doesn't work... ...strangely though, it detected O2 as a network and seemed to be connected but it wasn't doing much (still had 'searching' as its status, although the reception bars were strong), I suspect that would only allow you to receive calls - I certainly tried making calls and it wasn't successful...

you should read the terms more carefully, you have to pay £30 a month, then you have to claim it back, id say this would be a hard process!!!
Customer pays the normal line rental of £30 per month but will receive their money back by the redemption process listed below.
3 Months ½ price line rental (worth £45) will be automatically added to your bill from 3.
There are 2 redemption processes to this offer, send your 6th airtime bill and receive chequeback |
