The voice dialing issue. Something like that has been discussed before, I searched, but none of that actually helped me. So, people who use T630 and HBH-600, help me. How do you record voice dialing tags? I tried pushing the handsfree button while recording tags, but just after the higher beep it makes a low beep and I get "command not found". So in the spirit of christmas, make me a detailed description. I'd be really grateful. You should also make it part of the "FAQ".

Are you trying to do it through the handsfree or the phone? Cos on your phone you go Menu > Phonebook > Voice Commands. But make sure the Voice Command settings are turned on in Settings > Voice Control > Voice Dialling
hope this helps
have a good christmas

You need to have our handsfree mode set to basic, not automatic, in the handsfree settings under settings in your phone. Sounds to me like yours is set to automatic so that when you go to hit the button on the headset it tries to make a call, which it can't cuz you haven't recorded coz voice commands. Hence the error message. Let up know if that does it! Merry christmas!

Tried setting it to "basic", didn't help. It still makes a lower beep just after the higher beep when trying to record a voice tag. And it says "no match found" or something, as if I was trying to already make a call, not save a voice tag to a contact. And when in "basic" mode, the phone doesn't seem to get connected with the handsfree as good, when a call comes in, as in "automatic" mode. So please, explain to me in what order to push what button on the phone and and what on the handsfree. I have tried pretty much every combination, but haven't had success.
PS! Answering calls by clicking the button on handsfree works fine. If I'd just get the voice dialing to work, I'd be one happy SE fanatic... |

You record the tags on the actual phone, but access them using handsfree.

I know you can record them on the phone. But there's a way to record them on the headset, so you have a better hit rate, when using voice dialing on a headset. |

Try this...
Go to Bluetooth>My devices, then highlight the HBH. Click connect. you should see the headset icon displayed on the top left corner of the screen.
This should stay connected while you go through the steps of recording your voice commands and tags.

It doesn't stay connected long enough. Just for some seconds. |

Hmmm...
... I tried it with my wife's T630 and I was able to record several tags. In fact, it didn't disconnect until I went back to the main menu.
What firmware version does your phone have?
I also tried it on my old T610 and I was able to record tags also. Although, It did disconnect twice before it stayed connected long enough for me to record.

In the handsfree settings menu, did you set it to "basic" or "automatic"? And what is the sequence of buttons you push when you record tags, in which order?
PS!
What handsfree did you use? HBH-600 or something else?

Try this...
Instead of going to Bluetooth, go to Connectivity>Accessories. Select your HBH from there.
If that doesn't work, go back to Bluetooth>Handsfree>My Handsfree. Select your HBH from there.
I have tried it with the HBH-30, 35 and 300. And mine is set on automatic.

Tried it. In the menu you mentioned, when I choose "HBH" it shows me "Revision HBH-600 some number&letters R1B" and the second I exit the menu, the handsfree icon turns back to bluetooth symbol. |

In wich way did you connect?
How do you go to recording tags without going to main menu in between?

I have the same problem with my T630 and my HBH-65.
At the moment the hit rate is so low it's really no good as handsfree
I've tried both Handsfree on Automatic and Basic (although I don't know what the difference is)
I also tried connecting the headset from Bluetooth devices, using the shortcuts menu to avoid going back to the main menu, but it only holds the connection for about 4 seconds, not long enough to set any voice commands.
My firmware is: R4E002 (T-mobile)
I'm begining to think I should have got the LotR boxset instead of this bluetooth headset |

I recorded my commands using the phone, cause I couldn't figure out how to do it using the phone, but I held the phone's microphone at the place where the handsfree's mic will be. So I have no problem with the hitrate so far (only tried in a noisy room, straight in front of TV speakers). Will see how it will work in a car. |
