Anyone here used the Nokia 9300 Communicator? If yes, I need to know how well it performs, pros, cons, et al. Please be objective & detailed in your responses (posts like \"Crap phone\" dont tell anything). Thanks.

I dont think there can be too many reviews on it yet but you should check out some 9500 reviews becuse its identical to the 9300 minus the camera, wifi and physical size.

Thanks guys :) Seen some reviews (incl. 9500) on the Web. Was only hoping I could find someone who owns one so I can "cross-examine". Anyone?

I imagine that too. Well, I am looking forward to laying my hands on one ASAP. Waited long & hard for nok to put GPRS capability on a cmmunicator. 9500 is okay, but dont need the camera, so why pay for one?

You have the option to use or not to use the camera.

@brym! I have the option to pay or not to pay for an extra I definitely do not need and will not use :) I choose not to pay.

I guess that leaves you with the 9300(sans WI-FI).

@flying finn - So do you think that the Nokia 9300 Communicator is 'just' an inferior representation of the 9500 Thanks! |

I think with this version of the Communicator Nokia also wanted to consider "the other" people in business world, who aren't allowed to have a digital camera at their workplace. In some occasions camera phones have been used for industrial spying and therefore banned.
If you aren't in that user group, you can still enjoy a smaller, yet nearly as capable a Communicator as its big brother.

I have used my friends 9300 for a day, the phone is good, espically the keyboard...its so easy to type but the screen sucks its lengthy...hence very difficult to browse HTML sites as you have to scroll each and every time to see a image. WAP is faster imo..although I have not used p910 so cant compare between these two, but the phone is good in all terms and also small in size

@JN: Not inferior, just without some features on the 9500 that are not vital to business. Until proven otherwise, it should be safe to say the performance of both are similar. @vineet: Thanks, some real stuff at last. That screen has always been an issue with the Communicator series, I believe.

There's a 9300 review now at mobile-review:

It's only about the phone mode, they say the next part will focus on the PDA side.
