i just got this moths bill from vodafone.. theres a wap session on there and it sez i downloaded 37mb and it cost me $675

how long would it take for me to download this much over gprs???

Make sure you're not using the auto-email check function. My mate set his on his old T610 and ended up with a huge gprs bill. 2.2c/kb in Aust plus 15c connection fee per session can add up. Although your bill is quite high!

OMG ! 675 bucks ?? You could buy a new phone for that !
Best option would be to contact the customer support and verify it with your usage.

ye i rang customer support.. they put it thrue to the billing department and they will ring me in about 3 days...

yes the whole thing was 1 session, 37mb in 1 session over gprs??

also i looked at the data counter on my phone (which ive never reset ive only had the phopne for 1 1/2 months) and it sez ive used 20.1 mb

does anybody know if vodafone charge you for uploads as well as downloads?

not sure about voda but carrier gprs charges are usually for both up and downloads.

i'm with vodafone and i dont get charged for every site i go to (i know this because i'm using prepaid). i find that bill quite odd :s *thinks about staying with vodafone or not*

Then they will use a collections agency to convince you to pay the outstanding amount. Threaten to take you to court, etc, standard stuff.

i kindof got it sorted out... there going to charge the 37meg as if i was on a data plan... so all i haveto pay is $50 now
