Tired of cell phones that have a million features? Product developer Dave Simmons from Nokizon labs in Boston believe consumers are ready for the next step in portable communication.

“Our latest cell phone comes with a detachable device that can be used to establish an audio-only link with another person. Once the link is established, you talk to that person as though they were standing just a few feet away. That’s all the detachable TX-1 module does. No pictures, no beeps, no 3D interface.”

The Nokizon T&T Mobile phone, dubbed the Audio Phone, goes on sale in January for a suggested retail price of $399.

that looks absolutley tiny! i dont think this idea will take off. i think most people like feature packed phones - i know i do.

Because the platform sends bogus messages while charging, that is why!!!..But why this change of heart?..We sense a charger connected, oops, we will not shut down after all!!!..*********************** UI BASIC, HOLD YOUR HORSES

Yeah, I agree - I don't know how you could grow tired of the new awesome features mobile phones come with these days. Although, a phone that size would be a great fashion accessory to wear around your neck!
