International mobile phone users should refrain from sending text messages to the Philippines for the time being as intended recipients will not be able to receive them, though messages sent will still be charged accordingly, reports Borneo Bulletin.

"According to DST Communications, mobile phone service providers in the Philippines have blocked messages from other countries, probably due to a technical breakdown encountered by Philippine mobile phone service providers."
