The T68m and T68mc are still Ericsson phones. They are the ones with the rubber battery back, loud SMS tone, and no, or limited MMS capabilities.

The T68i is the T68m with new firmware... plastic battery back, and rebranded under SonyEricsson. These also came with blue keypad lights vs. the amber lights of the T68m/mc

The "c" designation on either Ericsson or SonyEricsson models means the unit was originally manufactured for the Chinese market, with chinese input firmware installed and a chinese keypad.

@JN - imo, id consider buying the 'mc'. i just love the back black rubber and its feel. besides i don't think that they make reconditioned 'm/mc'. i think Jam's price is a steal, kaya bilihin nyo na!

@skrue - Many thanks mate . . . Yup, looks like a 'cheap' buy here . . . as he sold me a T39m holster back then for only - Php 100.00 !

well, I'd prefer a real T68m over the mc... but mainly due to the keypad.

Unless you like the WHITE T68i design, the original Ericsson T68m units looked much better. And if you want the functions of the T68i, just have your firmware flashed... you will lose the loud Ericsson SMS tone however and in its place have the pathetic SE buzz that couldn't wake up a fly. But other than that, you get a lot more features and a more stable phone.

I used to have a T68m... flashed to an 'i'... changed the keypad with the newer T68i one (I preferred the matte look of the YES/NO keys of the 'i') ... and you have the option of changing the front face to SE's mineral gray (although I preferred Ericsson's design more) ... and changing the amber keypad lights to blue as well.

@jp & skrue: thanks!

@JN: of course, my 'mc' is the wiser buy! I guess after the explanations provided by jp & skrue, you have made up your mind already right? So when do we deal?
