Ericsson T39m Address Book Question |

Hi All,
Is it possible to *ONLY* use the phonebook that's on the SIM and not the phone? I know I won't be able to take advantage of the advanced features like multiple numbers per name, however, that's okay. I just want to make it whenever I hit the > key it searches from the SIM not from the phone's memory - the problem is that the phone says "there's no entriies in the phone book - copy from sim?"
I have the latest version R4...
The reason I don't want to copy all my entries from my SIM to my phone is because I use different phones all the time, so If I made a change on my SIM when the sim was in my Nokia 8290, then put the SIM into the T39m, that change would not be reflected in the local address book - since the change was made on the SIM itself.
Thus, in order for me to see the changes, I would have to press 1# or re-copy all of my entries from my SIM to the phone.
As far as I know, the phone's address book does not "compare" or mirror itself to the SIM's address book...but I could be wrong?
Thanks |

I don't think you can. I assume you know about dialing from the SIM card (phone book, option 5). But as far as quick searches and stuff.. don't think it will work.
