There are individuals who make money in the U.S. flashing new software (guys from Telco themselves). In another forum about US$50 plus s/h with a 1-2 day turnover, which i think is ridiculous, because it's free and takes about 30 minutes where I live. |

I doubt if Ericsson Philippines will release such version, unless, the operators will announce support for MMS. MMS does not work with existing SMSC, the operators must upgrade their equipment to MMSC. |

hey arnoldc whats the difference with the R1D? I havent heard of it before? is the R2A ever gonna come out here in the philippines? I just got the communicam. it's finally here in pinas. Only draw back is that we have to have a gprs connection to access the pictures and i never knew that the communicam pics could not be viewed on the phone right away. they should have a upgrade on that. if the nokia 7650 can do it so should the t68 rite? |

danlai,
i am still waiting for their "official" word about R1D. oh my, the communicam, there's a new version which allows you to preview images on the phone. I saw the article on "contact" ericsson's official publication. |

Ayserk56, SonyEricsson will be rolling out Service Repair Centers in the US within the next 6months. This will allow users to get the software updates we read about, once they're approved by the US Operators. Right now only a limited number of Service Managers in the US have the ability to flash the phones. |
