Just wondered if others on the forum had any views on the various 'create your own ringtone' services out there. I'm familiar with www.ringranger.co.uk and xingtone. And I wondered if there were other popular ones out there and also what you like/don't like about these services.
I must admit, although RingRanger is easy to use as it's all online, I still find it quite hard to co-ordinate my sounds to create a really groovy ringtone which is why I haven't published any yet. Maybe that's just my poor musical skills though! |

I have always made my own ringtones... just for me. I found it pointless to have a "personalized" ringtone that everyone has... now when someone else's phone rings... you think it's yours!
So since the T28 days... through the EMY T68 days... through MIDI... and now MP3s/wavs... I always make my own ringtones.
My current ones are voice files which I had my friend recite some lines that I wanted... for my incoming calls, messages, MMS, etc... then I altered them in Sound Forge... generated some computer beeps and tones... and made my own "computer alerts" for my phone
