(everymove on the phone menus need around 20 seconds). of course i will send it to the service to fix it. i have back up. is it possible to take from this backup the contacts and sms? notes etc? when i convert it to .zip and open it i just see 1,2,3etc .dat files. please help me because im desperate... |

i think your memory might be full.
turn the phone on and LEAVE IT!! mine took 20 minutes to get to the main screen when i filled up my memory. when you get in go to your uninstall menu and delete anything you dont need anymore. same goes for games, ringtones, pix etc. this will take a very long time!
from now on i make sure i have at least 2megs of memory free!

When my p800 had the same "memory full" problem, nothing I did made it go beyond that SE screen. Eventually sent it to a service centre where they did what they did and gave it an updated firmware. Lost all my files, of course :(

yes now its ok
i coulnt get to the uninstall menu and uninstall everything because it was stucked. i just took it to the service and they reinstalled the software and everything is ok now. i take backup once per month so i didnt lose something very important.
thanks everybody |

no they didnt say anything and i didnt ask but i know for sure the memory was full. so now u tell me about this i think that was the reason. but lets say there was another problem and the phone was damaged, how could i retrieve my contacts from the backup? also in the new software they installed, there r some applications like chess, solitaire and demo. i would like to remove them. but going to the uninstall menu they dont appear there. just opera only. how can i add/remove the other apps? thank u very much |
