T300 will be a very budget phone since it target at those nokia 33XX users who are sick of nokia and want to buy a cheap colour screen phone.......I believe sony ericsson would succeed in trying to capture the low end market from nokia. |

How is it a low budget phone, the only difference between the two if features that the t68i has is bluetooth and a calander, the t300 has downloadable games, polyphonic ringtones.
If you ask me it more or less the same phone but some features were pulled to make way for others. |

Well, anyway.. all this price-speculation.  says at the moment that the introduction price for T300 here in Sweden will be around 350 dollars. And that's a reasonable price.
T300 is a low-budget version of T68, so it won't cost 600 dollars. That's for sure. The production-cost of T300 will not be as high as T68's, since T68 was the first color-screen phone and a lot of money was invested to perfect the manufacturing. With T300, all the equipment and expertise is already there!

So your saying the phone will go on sale at $350 as long as you are tied to a tariff, where as the phone would cost without a tariff around $400 - $500? |

Oh no, 350 dollars without a contract  SonyEricsson calls this the first color-screen phone for the common folks, that is non high-end product, and 350 dollars is the price-range for that kind of mobiles
